Drill Helper

Driller Helper

Starting a career in operations is both rewarding and challenging.
Everyone starts as a helper. Being a helper requires not only physical strength and stamina, but also an ability to work away from home for extended periods, and plenty of patience as it takes years to develop from a helper to a driller, and on to supervision. But it can also be very rewarding.

The driller’s skill set is in high demand, and can bring you all over the world. Drillers and Helpers who are able to work safely and achieve good levels of production can earn high incomes that are comparable with other skilled operations personnel in the resource industries.

Core Driller

The Core Driller demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work safely on a daily basis. The Driller is generally the lead project personnel on site and has the responsibility to ensure all work is being with a high degree of quality and safety.

The driller must be experienced with the drilling equipment, process and be able to working closely with clients and other contractors on site to maintain a professional and safe work environment. The Driller must have full knowledge of the applicable environmental and safety regulations that govern the well drilling operation.
